Orchitis
Orchitis is an inflammation or swelling of either or both testicles. It is caused by an infection, which might be either viral or bacterial. In addition, it could have been a sexually transmitted infection. People can have moderate to severe discomfort as well as swelling. It’s common for orchitis to start in one testicle before gradually making its way to the other.
Orchitis is a condition that can develop if germs from another part of the body travel through the bloodstream and infect the testicles. An advanced stage of epididymitis is also possible. It is an infection that spreads through the tube that takes semen away from the testicles. This condition is referred to as epididymo-orchitis. Orchitis caused by bacteria can be treated medically, and those affected can alleviate certain symptoms by taking pain relievers and other over-the-counter drugs. However, it can be a few weeks before the scrotum’s discomfort completely disappears.
The signs and symptoms of orchitis typically manifest suddenly. They include the enlargement of the testicles, varying degrees of discomfort, fever, sickness and throwing up, and general malaise throughout the body.
