Low Electrolyte Level
Minerals like potassium and magnesium are necessary for the human muscles to function correctly. Simple cramps and spasms are the body’s way of communicating when one of them is too low. By adjusting salt levels per the body’s needs, the kidneys keep the electrolyte balance in check. An electrolyte imbalance occurs when the body’s amount of electrolytes is too low or too high. One has an electrolyte imbalance when one loses a significant amount of bodily fluids. For instance, excessive sweating or vomiting can cause the body’s levels of electrolytes to decrease.
In relation to this, 2% to 6% of the body weight loss when someone perspires. Sweating can result in a decrease in electrolyte content if one especially does not drink enough water.
