Presence of Polyps
The body is host to all sorts of complicated processes, which can lead to a few abnormalities here and there. One such abnormality is polyps, which are harmless growths that can appear all over the body. Typically, polyps appear on the body’s surface, but there are situations where a polyp can grow in the colon or rectum. Polyps inside the rectum or colon are common, and there is usually no need for treatment. However, as the polyps are exposed to a bowel movement, there is a chance that the polyp will bleed. Minor anal bleeding due to polyps is nothing to worry about, but there is usually no way to diagnose polyps outside of a colonoscopy.
The good news is that during a routine colonoscopy screening if the doctor finds any polyps, they will remove them. Removing polyps is usually enough to fix the issue for anyone suffering from minor bouts of anal bleeding. But, of course, the polyps could form again, which is just how the body works. At the very least, polyps are considered safe, as they are noncancerous growths. At most, they can be a nuisance when they appear in different parts of the body.
