13 Vertigo Exercises For Immediate Relief (Try Now)

“Walk and Turn Your Head” Exercise

If you are experiencing vertigo and are looking for ways to try and feel better, consider doing the “Walk and Turn Your Head” exercise. This exercise is intended to help you better understand where your body is on the ground and what direction you are facing. These things can be difficult when experiencing dizziness or vertigo.

Before trying this exercise, it is important to understand which direction is north clearly. Once you have that, walk towards an object far away from you—it should be easy for you to locate. The object should not be behind or in front of you but off to your side. If people are around, ensure they aren’t moving too quickly, so they don’t distract you while doing the exercise.

While walking towards the object, begin turning your head to look at different objects around you. While turning your head, also begin walking at a steady pace. Try not to think about where your body is on the ground. Instead, just pay attention to what happens when you look left or right without thinking about it. As long as you try not to think about it, your body will naturally move forward and turn to keep looking around at the different objects around you. If so, try again with a focus on letting go of the need to control your body’s movement and allow it to happen.
