Diabetes is a life-long health condition that affects the body in turning food into energy. The body’s natural process is to break down the food into glucose or sugar and releases it into the bloodstream. Diabetes occurs when there is a disturbance in the process involved in making energy.
There are several symptoms of diabetes, including feeling thirsty often, frequently urinating, losing weight without trying, the appearance of ketones in the urine, feeling weak and tired, blurry vision, and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common diabetic syndrome. This condition compresses the neurons of those who are affected by diabetes. Most of its symptoms include the inability to control the hands due to numbness and pain. The most affected finger in this condition is the thumb. Thumb pain always occurs in carpal syndrome due to diabetes. It is also an indication that a person has diabetes. Therefore, experts concluded that having a tight, waxy hand accompanied by pain is a sign of a diabetic hand.
