Ulcers
Ulcers are one of the symptoms of the STDs in men. There are several potential causes of ulcers, including STDs. The ulcers can be on the penis, scrotum, or inside the anus.
Most people know that an ulcer is a sore or cut in the lining of the stomach or intestines. They’re painful, but they’re not a big deal because they don’t cause any lasting harm. They’ll heal quickly on their own. However, if you have an STD like syphilis, chlamydia, or herpes, then ulcers can signify that something more serious is happening inside you.
Ulcers most often occur on the genitalia because of bacteria called HSV-2. This is a common ulcer caused by herpes simplex 2 (one form of herpes), usually due to sexual contact with someone who already has this infection.
It is important to talk to a doctor if you are experiencing STD-related ulcers because they may be caused by another condition that needs to be treated or monitored.
