Food Poisoning
Foodborne illness is the medical term used for food poisoning. This condition is caused by eating food contaminated with bacteria, viruses, and parasites. This occurs when the food is not thoroughly cooked, not properly stored, left out for a long time, mishandled by someone who is ill or didn’t wash their hands, or eaten after the expiration date.
Symptoms of food poisoning may vary depending on the cause of contamination. This includes diarrhea, stomach cramps, vomiting, tiredness, aches, chills, and nausea. In most cases experienced nausea due to the urge to vomit. The body reacts to purge the toxins in the body. It redirects the body to excrete all the contaminated food it consumes. The uneasiness of nausea will help the body ease the pain from food poisoning. It is also an indicator that the body is working to fight toxins and toxic byproducts caused by the contaminated food.
