What Could Trigger Nausea? 14 Possible Causes

Appendicitis

When the appendix swells due to the presence of pus, appendicitis occurs. Appendicitis is characterized as an inflammation of the appendix. This condition causes discomfort and uneasiness in the lower right abdomen. This happens when the appendix is blocked by a virus, bacteria, or parasites. It can also occur when the connecting tube of the large intestine and appendix is blocked.

Early signs of appendicitis are pain or discomfort in the middle part of the abdomen, loss of appetite, constipation, diarrhea, high fever, flushed face, and nausea. Nausea in appendicitis is common due to the loss of appetite and the sensation of the inability to eat.

The discomfort indicates that the body has infection or inflammation due to different causes. Nausea is caused by the gas, indigestion, and constipation brought by appendicitis. The inflammation causes the vomiting sensation, which is led by sickness—nausea signals to the body that a disturbance in the internal organs has occurred.
