Vomiting/Nausea
With regard to left kidney pain, there can be all sorts of effects that can cause all kinds of symptoms. For example, you might feel a pain that starts from the upper back but is a deep pain that radiates through to your stomach. Alongside the pain, you might also suffer from a fever, which can cause nausea. Kidney pain also makes people vomit, which is a telltale sign of kidney pain. If it’s left kidney pain, it usually occurs on the left side, though there are some situations where both kidneys are affected. Whether it’s through kidney injury or infection, you can expect vomiting to be a part of the symptoms.
Let your doctor know everything you’re feeling, and ensure that you take note of all the symptoms. Make sure to write down if you’re feeling pain that shoots down the leg, or if it’s a constant pain that doesn’t seem to change when you shift positions. When paired with vomiting/nausea, it almost always means a kidney issue.
