Pale Skin and Bruising
If a person has internal bleeding, they may notice some bruising. This can happen because of bleeding in or around the muscles, brain, eyes, or kidneys. They might also see bruising on other parts of the body if there is significant internal bleeding from organs outside of those that are usually injured (such as the intestines).
In addition to pale skin and bruising, other symptoms of internal bleeding are dizziness and fainting spells. These symptoms occur when there’s too much blood loss for the heart to pump effectively throughout the body. When it happens, it’s called “shock” because it prevents adequate oxygenation of tissues within minutes after damage. It’s not just related to muscle tissue but also affects vital organs, including brain cells.
