13 Best Home Remedies To Treat Vertigo Naturally

Semont-Toupet Maneuver

Many home remedies can help with vertigo. The Semont-Toupet maneuver, an exercise that stretches the muscles around the ears in a way that helps relieve pressure on the inner ear, is one of them.

The Semont-Toupet maneuver is designed to treat vertigo that is caused by benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). BPPV can be treated with this maneuver and physical therapy.

First, locate the tragus. It’s the bump of cartilage just above the ear canal. Put your finger on it and pull straight outward to stretch the ear opening. Then put your index finger in your ear and wiggle it all around while pushing inward to loosen blockages. Do this for about 30 seconds on each side.

Next, find the soft spot on top of your head, about two fingers’ width behind where your hairline ends at the back of your head (it will feel like a little divot). Carefully push two fingers into it for about 30 seconds, then let go and massage gently but firmly around it for another 30 seconds or so.

Finally, put two fingers in your mouth and press against the roof of it. This will help loosen up any blockages there as well.
