Avoiding Extremely Cold Foods/Drinks
One thing about the weather is it could cause a headache if it’s too cold. For most people, it comes from the stress put on the body by being too cold. However, for others more susceptible to headaches, something as simple as their faces being exposed to cold winds can cause a cold weather headache. As if that wasn’t enough, those who suffer from migraines will have to be careful, as the cold could trigger the intense headache and telltale symptoms of a migraine. One home remedy for avoiding and dealing with migraines is avoiding cold foods/drinks. While it’s undoubtedly enjoyable to have ice cream or cold drinks on a hot day, remember that it could trigger your migraine.
There’s no need to eliminate cold food and drinks entirely, especially if you’re the type to enjoy a frozen treat from time to time. That said, it could be a migraine trigger, so it’s a good idea to avoid it as much as possible. Brain freeze isn’t the only thing you have to watch for when it comes to cold treats.
