12 Home Remedies For Burning Feet: How To Get Rid Of It

Soaking Feet in Cold Water

The feet carry the body’s weight wherever it goes. When they are used tirelessly, they become fatigued. As a result, the muscles feel sore, and the nerves start to feel intense stinging pain. One of the easiest ways (and most straightforward to prepare) to soothe the swelling pain is to soak the feet in cold water. Cold water effectively reduces inflammation caused by foot injuries (from playing sports), intense workouts from the gym, and muscle soreness due to strenuous work. In addition, the coldness of the water helps in improving blood circulation. Many experts recommend immersing the whole body in a cold bath to relax the muscles and other sore parts and feel the soothing effect it gives.

However, it is essential to use the recommended temperature (10 to 15 degrees Celsius)  for about 10 minutes for a bath and 5 minutes for the feet only. This may be done regularly.

Those with heart conditions, high blood pressure, or any cardiovascular diseases are not recommended to use this process as it can put their health at risk. In addition, a decrease in the body’s temperature could lead to other complications, such as hypothermia (subnormal body temperature.)
