Meditation and Mindfulness
Perhaps one of the most significant challenges for those with ADHD is to find a way to be mindful of their surroundings and meditate on their thoughts. It’s the reason why going out for a walk is such a good idea, as it helps promote that feeling of wellness and mindfulness as you notice many different things at once. It’s also the reason why greenery helps, as it allows one to focus on the task at hand. However, while meditation is considered a home remedy, it is by no means an easy solution. After all, one of the symptoms of ADHD is the inability to focus on one thing for a long time.
Meditation is about focusing on inner thoughts, relaxing, and being mindful of their environment and state. Such a thing can almost be impossible for most people who have ADHD. But there’s a lot to be gained from the attempt. Mixing meditation with going outside to limit the symptoms as much as possible. It might not seem like you’re making too much progress, but the attempt matters more than you think.
