Chronic Diarrhea
Chronic diarrhea is the frequent passage of watery stool. Diarrhea is often a symptom of a more serious underlying condition, such as Crohn’s disease or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The reason why diarrhea causes hemorrhoids is that it can cause an increase in pressure in the veins that affect the anus.
When a person has diarrhea repeatedly, it can lead to bulging or swelling veins, which are usually known as hemorrhoids. If they have chronic diarrhea and do not treat it properly, this could result in bleeding and inflammation around the anus area.
A study found that there is a link between chronic diarrhea and hemorrhoids. The researchers surveyed almost 7,000 people suffering from chronic diarrhea and hemorrhoids. It found that those experiencing chronic diarrhea had a higher risk of developing hemorrhoids. However, if a person has hemorrhoids, this can lead to chronic diarrhea.
Diarrhea can be caused by food poisoning (such as E. coli), stomach flu, or bacterial infections such as salmonella, shigella, and campylobacteriosis (a type of food poisoning). Although it has been shown that many natural cures for diarrhea can help ease the symptoms within 24 hours if taken at the first sign of symptoms occurring. These include yogurt probiotics containing healthy bacteria called lactobacillus, ginger tea made from grated ginger root steeped in hot water, or apple cider vinegar mixed with water.
