Lack of Appetite
As those who suffer from a head cold will sometimes be nauseous or dizzy, one of the other symptoms that follow suit is a lack of appetite. In most cases, people will avoid eating food as they could vomit it out due to nausea. It doesn’t help that the stomach will likely not react well to the food, resulting in an upset stomach that could also lead to diarrhea. Such is the reason why it’s wholeheartedly recommended to get as much fluids in as you can. Otherwise, you’re not giving the body the ammunition it needs to fight off the common cold.
One solution to a lack of appetite is to go for a tried and tested tradition — chicken noodle soup. Most kinds of soups work well, as they work to sustain you while simultaneously getting more fluids in your body. There’s no need to force yourself to eat much, but you will have to push your lack of appetite aside to eat soup if you’re going to overcome a head cold as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the lack of appetite will likely continue for the next few days.
