Hot Weather Conditions
One surprising cause of swollen hands is hot weather conditions, especially weather hot enough that you’re always uncomfortable. Many people are raised in tropical conditions, making them more resilient to hot weather. However, when someone used to colder climates travels to a location with tropical weather, it can cause issues. When the body struggles to stay cool, it will try to circulate the blood to the areas closest to the skin to cool the body down. Depending on the situation, it can get to the point where the blood vessels dilate, and fluid buildup results in swollen hands.
Hot weather conditions can cause all sorts of issues, with swollen hands being one of the more frustrating symptoms. The hot weather can be challenging to manage, but the human body can adapt with the situation. Harsh weather conditions, provided you’re in a place where you have access to food, drink, and shelter, is something the body can eventually overcome given enough time. A few days is typically enough for the swelling to go down and the body to get used to the heat.
