Fast Food Fries
French fries, especially the ones you can buy from fast food joints, are loaded with salt and all sorts of unhealthy fats. It comes as no surprise that fast food fries are a terrible choice for anyone looking to avoid diabetes. Some are even deep fried in bacon fat, which is pretty much doubling down on unhealthy choices. It might not be easy to avoid French fries, but for the sake of your health, it’s crucial that you at least try.
The primary issue with most types of fast food fries is they tend to be deep fried. Even if they weren’t fried in bacon fat, it’s still being deep fried which means plenty of trans fats and probably plenty of sodium. It can absolutely clog the system if you eat French fries on the regular, and while you might not feel it while you’re young, that’s the kind of thing that will cause problems further down the road.
Try to avoid French fries as much as you can. If you absolutely must have it, consider making your own variant at home, so you have more control over its preparation.
