Loss of Appetite
Some people experience loss of appetite, which several reasons can cause. The condition is known as anorexia in medical circles and differs from anorexia nervosa, a more complicated disorder. Loss of appetite is highly curable as medical experts only need to determine the underlying cause to ensure they can provide the necessary medications.
People who suffer from loss of appetite don’t feel hungry and may not want to eat anything. They often don’t enjoy the taste, sight, and smell of food and feel fuller faster. Additionally, people who experience loss of appetite may not want to have meals with others. As a result, they manifest nausea, vomiting, low energy and muscle weakness, diarrhea, and changes to nails, skin, and hair.
People with zinc deficiency must take supplements because zinc stimulates food intake and appetite. Zinc can be an appetite stimulant, but people must also consider that it takes some time to work. In addition, while the body only requires a small amount of zinc, it does affect several processes efficiently. Therefore, people have to consider a balanced zinc intake to maintain their overall health.
