Genes
Hereditary is a medical term used to pass genetic information from parent to child through the genes. There are several things that an offspring can get from a parent germ cell. For example, there are cases in which the traits, physical appearance, and vulnerability to certain diseases are inherited from the parent. Experts say that genes play a vital role in susceptibility to infection. For example, people that carry these genes are more prone to having toenail fungus. Although genes are not solely responsible for an infection, they make people prone to infections such as toenail fungus.
Studies show that those individuals who possess these genes have a weaker immune system. This makes the body weaker in fighting back the infections brought by viruses, bacteria, germs, microorganisms, and fungi. Moreover, people with frequent toenail fungus infections are found to have a weak immune system and a DNA imprint that makes the person more vulnerable to diseases.
