Muscle Strain
A muscle strain is characterized by a torn or pulled muscle. This condition causes severe pain in the thigh. The pain from muscle strains is characterized as popping or snapping while the muscle strains. This occurs when there is a movement in the lower extremities. The muscle strain may also appear bruised, especially when the blood vessels are broken.
Four factors cause thigh pain in muscle strain. These are muscle fatigue, imbalance, tightness, and poor conditioning. The first one is muscle fatigue. Muscle fatigue is characterized as reducing the muscles found on the thigh to absorb energy, leading to a more susceptible muscle injury. Muscle imbalance is the unequal strength of the muscle as opposed to the other muscle groups. Finally, muscle tightness refers to the muscle’s vulnerability to strain due to its tightness, and poor conditioning refers to muscle weakening.
All of these factors directly affect the thigh by causing it to feel pain. The muscles, tendons, and ligaments around the thigh contribute to pain. As the muscle moves without proper care, it may trigger the factors that result in thigh pain.
