Diarrhea
Diarrhea is a common side effect of worms in humans and is often a primary symptom. Worms are intestinal parasite that affects millions of people each year. The pinworm is the most common type of worm that causes diarrhea, which ce an bcontracted by ingesting any part of the worm (eggs or larvae). When the pinworm enters the stomach, it travels to the intestines, where it matures and reproduces, laying thousands of eggs daily.
These eggs are expelled from the body via the feces and irritate the anal and genital areas. The irritation leads to itching and scratching, which can cause scratch marks on the skin. Pinworms are very small (about 1 mm), so they can easily go undetected.
When you start experiencing diarrhea, consider several factors before assuming parasites caused it. One important factor you should consider is if you have recently been on a trip or vacation in an area where parasites are common. If you have been traveling and have suddenly started to have problems with your bowels, there is a good chance you may have picked up a parasite from the water or food in that area.
