Hydration
When the sun causes damage to the skin in the form of sunburn, the moisture will be drawn to the area where the harm has occurred. A sunburn causes fluid to be drawn to the skin’s surface, which removes it from other body parts that require it. Be sure to drink a lot of water, even if it is just a mild sunburn, because dehydration can worsen sunburn. Even mild sunburn can make the body lose water and dehydrate.
After a sunburn, drink even more water than you usually would in a day. Not only will it assist in keeping the body hydrated, but it will also hasten the process of healing any wounds that may have on the skin. According to health professionals, water intake should be between 11 and 16 cups daily for men and women. Some of those drinks include coffee, tea, or water flavored with fruit or vegetables (such as lemon, berry, orange, or cucumber slices).
