Past Styes
Styes are infections caused by complications in the glands. These complications can be recurring due to scar tissue and underlying conditions.
Moreover, past styes are relatively close to acne, in the sense that bursting them without proper preparation and sanitation can lead to an even worse stye. This can be observed by how oil spreads around the skin after a stye or acne gets popped, which is also why it subsequently creates more infections and inflammations like acne and stye. This proves why it’s always better to let it subside and rest rather than hastily popping a stye without proper preparation.
Past styes contain the disadvantage of having damaged scar tissues, making that area more susceptible to experiencing a relapse of stye. A person who had stye before is more likely to contract the inflammation again on the same spots due to both tissue and glands having scars.
Scar tissue can’t be mended, which is why experiencing relapses are to be expected for people who have had stye before.
