Burning and Pain with Urine
Painful urination is a common symptom of STD in men. It is usually caused by trauma to the urethra during intercourse or masturbation. The trauma can be caused by chafing or irritation from the roughness of the vaginal walls or an infection.
If you experience painful urination, it may help to urinate before sex and after sex, as well as urinate in a sitting position rather than standing up. Some lubricants can also irritate the urethra, so use water-based lubricants instead of gel or oil-based ones during intercourse.
The pain experienced by men can range from mild to severe and may last for several days after intercourse. Men with STDs should tell their doctor about any pain they experience while urinating to receive treatment as soon as possible.
