Carcinomas
Carcinoma is a skin cancer caused by the uncontrolled growth of epithelial cells. This type of cancer can be very dangerous because it can spread and destroy nearby tissues. The carcinoma is typically found on the eyelid, neck, breast, and other body parts.
Carcinoma begins when a single cell breaks away from an existing cancerous tumor and grows uncontrollably. The tags usually start as small spots but can become larger as they grow. Some people may also develop several skin tags at once. There are two types of skin tags: benign and malignant. Benign skin tags are typically harmless and do not pose any risk to your health, while malignant ones are not only dangerous but can spread to other areas of your body.
The factors contributing to skin tag development vary depending on gender and age, but there are some common causes for these pesky tumors. For example, women tend to develop these tumors during pregnancy when estrogen levels increase and trigger cell growth in the skin. Women are more susceptible to developing these tumors than men in their 20s or 30s.
