Ear Pain
When feeling pressure or pain in the ear, consult a healthcare expert immediately for treatment. Ear pain is another sinus infection symptom because sinus infection causes fluid to get stuck on the rear part of the eardrum. The trapped fluid can convert into a breeding ground for viruses and bacteria that causes infection.
Inside the skull, the ears and sinuses are connected. Therefore, sinus congestion and stuffiness can affect the pressure in the ears. According to reports, any health condition that can lead to sinus congestion has the possibility of causing additional pressure in the ear. Aside from sinus infections, influenza, the common cold, allergies, and even irritants like smoke can also cause ear pressure that leads to ear pain.
Aside from ear pain, a person with too much ear pressure may also experience vertigo and the impression that they are in a descending plane. When experiencing dizziness due to ear pain, do not shake the head quickly or stand too fast. Moreover, it might be helpful to take over-the-counter decongestants to relieve ear pressure and pain caused by a sinus infection.
