Insurers Aren’t About Declining Costly Claims You’re Entitled To
There’s no denying that insurers prefer clients who don’t cost their business a lot of money. Some companies even have internal policies to immediately decline claims that the plan covers if they’re too expensive. This is because they think patients won’t understand all the jargon and numbers and automatically assume that everything on their bill is accurate. It isn’t hard to see why this practice is common amongst health insurance companies. However, when you get down to it, they can leave it to an honest error if they get caught and make all the necessary changes. As such, you must let them walk you through every item on your bill if your claim gets denied. This will force them to rectify any mistakes they’ve made, whether purposely or by accident, and ensure that you’re given the coverage you’re paying your insurer for instead of being forced to pay more than you should.
