14 Symptoms Of Seasonal Allergy (Early Warning Signs)

Headaches

Many people suffer from seasonal allergies experience headache as one of its many symptoms. This condition is commonly associated with allergies that many people don’t even realize they have allergies. In most cases, they think they’re prone to getting headaches at certain times of the year.

There are two ways in which seasonal allergies can cause headaches. The first has to do with histamines. Histamines are chemicals released by the body in response to an allergic reaction. They cause the familiar symptoms of itching, sneezing, and watery eyes. However, they also constrict blood vessels, leading to headaches.

The second way seasonal allergies can cause headaches is less direct but no less important. Allergies can cause stress and anxiety, which can, in turn, lead to tension headaches or migraines. Allergies can also disrupt sleep, and lack of sleep is a major trigger for headaches. So, even if histamines aren’t directly causing your headache, they may be indirectly responsible for causing other changes in your body that lead to headache pain.
