Abdominal Pain
Abdominal pain is a symptom of ovarian cysts that can occur in women of any age. It is an uncomfortable sensation that typically feels sharp and localized around the abdomen or lower back. Some women may experience abdominal pain before, during, or after their menstrual cycle. The pain can be so severe as to interfere with a woman’s ability to perform her daily tasks, such as work and school. In other cases, it can be milder and more intermittent, with occasional pain attacks.
The symptoms you may experience will depend on the size of the cyst and its location within your body. Smaller ovarian cysts in the outer parts of your ovaries may cause milder symptoms than larger ones located deeper within your reproductive organs.
