Reduce Caffeine and Alcohol Intake
Caffeine and alcohol are beverages enjoyed by many people. Studies show that a relationship between these drinks and cardiovascular health is evident. Excessive caffeine and alcohol intake is detrimental to the cardiovascular system. Specifically, these beverages affect the heart rhythm, a factor in myocarditis.
Caffeine prompts the body to release hormones such as noradrenaline and norepinephrine. These hormones affect the cardiovascular system by increasing the heart rate and blood pressure. It also stimulates the contraction, causing more effort and force to contract. A forceful contraction will lead to myocarditis. Likewise, alcohol has the same effect on the myocardium. It also increases heart rate and blood pressure. Alcohol can also clog the arteries wherein the myocardium is sandwiched between them.
Reducing caffeine and alcohol intake will regulate myocardium health. This muscle will function better, leading to a healthier heart and body. Accumulating a moderate amount of caffeine and alcohol is the key to optimal cardiovascular health.
