Green Tea
Green tea became popular due to its exquisite taste and benefits. In addition, they are packed with antioxidants that lower the complication and risk of heart disease. Polyphenols and epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) are believed to increase the health benefits green tea has brought. Polyphenols are known to reduce inflammation. This process makes myocarditis heals faster and more efficiently. On the other hand, epigallocatechin-3-gallate is characterized as catechin. Catechin is needed by the body to prevent cell damage, rapid wound healing faster, and assist the scar caused by myocarditis.
Green tea can also avoid plaque buildup in the arteries or atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis can affect the myocardium due to the narrowing of arteries wherein the myocardium is sandwiched. However, caution in drinking green must be observed since an 8-ounce brewed green tea contains 28 milligrams of caffeine. Also, choose high-quality green tea over lower one since the latter includes excessive fluoride, which is harmful to the body.
