15 Symptoms & Sign Of Meningitis (Don’t Ignore)

Lack of Thirst

While it’s understandable to suffer from a lack of appetite concerning various health conditions, one of the more unorthodox conditions is adipsia or a lack of thirst. Compared to the lack of appetite, which could be due to a wide variety of reasons, pairing it with a lack of thirst will narrow things down. Compared to the appetite, switching behaviors of thirst can indicate head injuries, specific types of cancer, or even liver disease. It’s not the kind of symptom to take lightly, though you’ll have to keep watch for the next few days to ensure that it doesn’t get any worse. Adipsia is rarely the only symptom that pops up in severe conditions, so you still have to take things in context.

For example, adipsia could also be one of the onset symptoms of a stroke, but it’s not a good idea to immediately assume that it’s a stroke. Instead, you’ll have to take the time to figure out if the other symptoms are any indication of the disease/condition. Likewise, while a lack of thirst is more cause for concern than no appetite, it’s still not a good idea to jump to conclusions.
