More Kindness Toward Self
It comes as no surprise that you are often your most prominent critic. Most people are highly critical of themselves, to the point where they dislike the person they’ve become. It’s a challenging scenario, as you have to live with yourself, but you aren’t fond of the person you are. Whether it’s through an event you blame yourself for (or a series of events), the result is a more dreary outlook on life. If you aren’t kind to yourself, you lose the motivation to keep going. It can lead to issues such as anxiety and depression if left unchecked, which furthers the cycle of self-hate. Meditation can help you look inward and be more self-aware of what’s been going on. It allows you to look at the person in the mirror and be more lenient and kind.
The kindness you offer yourself often extends to others as you become more lenient and positive about various aspects of life. But, on the other hand, the more your dislike yourself, the worse things will get, which is why it’s a good idea to focus on meditation to help you treat yourself better.
