Deals with Intrusive Thoughts
The trouble with intrusive thoughts is they can pop up at any point. For most people, intrusive thoughts are expected and tend to involve silly things, such as trying to convince you to make a strange noise at random. However, intrusive thoughts can be highly stressful to some, to the point where it becomes distressing and even depressing. As a result, people try to distract themselves from intrusive thoughts throughout the day with varying degrees of success. However, you can fight off intrusive thoughts if you take the time to meditate now and again. This is because meditation has a habit of allowing your mind to focus on the things that matter.
It’s similar to the concept of pain, where the perception of pain can be challenging to ignore when the intensity is ramped up. With meditation, you can train your mind to push it into the background, and the same can be done with intrusive thoughts. But, of course, it isn’t something you can deal with overnight — if you want to deal with your intrusive thoughts, it’s a good idea to practice meditation often.
