Difficulty Breathing
Breathing patterns can affect many things, including weight gain, pregnancy, and aging. As a person get older, it is normal for their breathing patterns to change because of physical changes in the body. Alternatively, they may notice that they take deeper breaths or breathe more often than younger ones.
An irregularity associated with a person’s breathing pattern is a sign that they are having trouble breathing in and out. If they feel their lungs are not getting enough air, they may experience shortness of breath. Shortness of breath can happen when the airways become blocked, making it difficult for oxygen to reach the bloodstream.
An increase in carbon dioxide levels can cause shortness of breath. This happens when there is insufficient oxygen in the blood, meaning the body has to work harder to get oxygen into the bloodstream. It can lead to shortness of breath and panic attacks, requiring a person to take deep breaths to help calm their body down. Shortness of breath can also be caused by medical conditions, including heart or lung disease.
