Chills or Night Sweats
Chills and night sweats are common symptoms of a lung infection. If a person has chilled, they may feel as if their skin is covered with goose bumps or that it’s cooling down. They may feel clammy or sweaty and want to wrap up for added comfort.
A person might also experience night sweats, which can happen when the body temperature rises, and sweat glands begin to produce more work than average (this is called hyperhidrosis). Night sweats are often triggered by fever, but they can also be triggered by the body’s reaction to an infection like pneumonia or meningitis.
