The 15 Causes of Low Testosterone (You Should Definitely Be Aware Of)

Infertility

Infertility is the inability to conceive a child. Several factors can cause infertility, including low sperm count, low sperm motility (movement), or structural problems with the reproductive tract. However, it’s also possible for men to have low testosterone levels and still be fertile, and it’s estimated that about 1% of infertile men have this condition.

The most common cause of male infertility is low sperm count or oligozoospermia. This occurs when there are less than 15 million sperm per milliliter of semen. Infertility is also sometimes caused by low sperm motility or immotile sperm.

The diagnosis of sperm motility is made by performing a semen analysis and looking for abnormalities in the sperm’s shape and movement pattern. It’s also possible for men to have structural problems of the reproductive tract that are causing infertility, including obstruction of the vas deferens, varicocele, or other congenital anomalies.
