Emotional Problems
It’s no secret that hormones play a massive role in our lives. They regulate everything from our moods to our sex drives. And while it is normal for testosterone levels to decline as we age, sometimes it can lead to problems.
Low testosterone (or low T) can cause various symptoms, including weight gain and fatigue. It can also lead to depression and a reduced sex drive, particularly distressing for men in relationships or married. Sometimes emotional problems can be the underlying cause of low T, with stress and anxiety suppressing the natural production of testosterone.
If a person feels anxious about their sex life or has noticed a dip in their libido, they may want to consider seeing a doctor about whether the symptoms are caused by low T and what treatment options they have available.
