Restlessness
Restlessness is a common symptom of low sodium, and things can cause it. Most people think of restlessness as a sign that a person needs to get more sleep or eat something sweet. However, restlessness can also be caused by low blood sugar or lack of sleep, so if they aren’t getting enough food or sleep, their body will feel anxious and unable to sit still for very long.
Low blood sugar is another possible cause of restlessness. When a person’s blood glucose levels drop too low (a condition known as hypoglycemia), it causes the body’s brain cells to become overactive. This feeling often manifests itself as anxiety or irritability. In addition, certain medications have also been linked with symptoms like shaky hands and rapid heartbeat, which may contribute to feelings of being on edge or worried about what might happen next.
