Irritability
Irritability is one of the most common symptoms of low sodium, and symptoms of this kind are often referred to as “salt cravings.” Low levels of sodium in a person’s blood can cause them to feel restless and irritable, making them feel like they want to eat foods with a high amount of salt. This reaction is known as “salt craving,” but it isn’t recommended that they eat foods that have high amounts of salt when the body is lacking it.
While there are many reasons for feeling irritable, including stress and lack of sleep, low levels of sodium can be another factor that leads to irritability. Therefore, if they are experiencing mood changes such as irritation or anger due to these symptoms, they need to seek medical attention immediately to help treat what may be causing those specific issues.
