Frequent Diarrhea
If a person experiences frequent diarrhea, it may be a sign of a magnesium deficiency. Many things, including antibiotics, can cause diarrhea, Crohn’s disease and celiac disease (an autoimmune disorder in which the body cannot digest gluten), parasites, food sensitivities, and eating too much-refined sugar. The good news is that once they start supplementing with magnesium supplements, they should see an improvement in their bowel movements within a few days. If a person has diarrhea that lasts more than a few days and is accompanied by other signs such as fever, vomiting, or stomach cramps, they should contact a doctor immediately.
