Lymphoma

Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymph nodes. It can be caused by infection with the Epstein-Barr virus or other viruses, such as HIV. Lymphoma may also be triggered by exposure to chemicals, radiation, or certain medicines, including chemotherapy drugs for cancer treatment.

Symptoms vary depending on the type and stage of lymphoma. Some symptoms include swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpit, or groin; fever; weight loss or unintentional weight gain; fatigue (feeling tired all the time); night sweats (excessive sweating during sleep).

Early symptoms may include a feeling of fullness or heaviness in the abdomen, pain in the stomach; unintentional weight loss; night sweats; and fever. If a patient has any of these symptoms, they should see a doctor soon.
