Blurring Vision
Blurred vision is an eye disturbance that disturbs a person’s eyesight making it hard for them to see things. Having blurry or double vision should be taken seriously. Even if it happens for only a short period of time, it can be a sign of underlying medical conditions.
Abnormal blood sugar levels can affect a person’s eyesight. Hyperglycemia, for example, affects the shape of a person’s eye lens. Hypoglycemia, on the other hand, affects how the brain perceives things. Patients may experience haziness and dizziness. This may also lead to disorientation and accidents. This is due to the limited amount of glucose the brain use. Again, it’s the body’s way of signaling the brain that something is wrong with it.
Some hypoglycemic patients reported experiencing dimness in vision and seeing black spots. Fortunately, the picture will become more apparent, and all the other eye disturbances will go away once the blood sugar levels return to normal.
