Constant Back Pain
Back pain can occur when mechanical and structural problems develop in the spine, discs, muscles, ligaments, or tendons of the back. The most common cause of back pain is a physical injury to a muscle or ligament. However, back pain may also indicate an underlying health condition, such as UTIs, cancer, heart attack, and kidney pain.
Back pain caused by kidney pain differs from other back pain types. It is described as a constant pain or discomfort felt on one or both sides of the ribcage. Some patients may also experience severe or sharp pain under the rib cage or abdomen. In extreme cases, the pain may even spread to the groin area.
Patients with back pain caused by kidney pain need to ask their doctors before taking any painkillers. Since painkillers can cause more damage to the kidneys, further worsening the condition, ointments and other topical products work best in this situation.
