Baking Soda
Baking soda can be an effective skin treatment when used correctly and in the recommended amounts. Baking soda has several qualities that could be good for your skin, from being an excellent exfoliant to a good bleaching agent.
Baking soda is an excellent natural exfoliator. To make a paste, combine two teaspoons of baking soda and a small amount of warm water. Apply the paste to the affected areas of your skin and gently rub it in for up to five minutes in small, circular motions. Wash the paste from your skin when done.
Aside from being an effective exfoliant, baking soda aids in preventing clogged pores by gently reducing their sizes. Use a spoonful of baking soda and some water to make a toner or astringent that you may use on your face. The solution works significantly better when refrigerated before being applied to the skin.
