Hives
Hives are raised red spots on the skin that are very itchy and can appear anywhere on the body, including the scalp. Hives frequently appear and disappear after a few hours. Chronic (long-lasting) hives often recur for more than six weeks. Hives frequently represent an acute (temporary) issue that can be treated with anti-allergy medicines.
A reaction to something you’ve experienced or ingested could trigger hives. Histamines are released into the blood when you experience an allergic reaction. The body releases histamines to protect itself from illness and other external invaders. However, some people can develop swelling, itching, and various symptoms associated with hives due to histamines.
You can stop hives from recurring by making a few simple lifestyle adjustments. If you’ve recently experienced an outbreak of hives, stay away from high-humidity places and do not wear tight clothing. Meanwhile, if you have allergies and know which triggers an allergic reaction, your physician would advise you to avoid any potential exposure to these causes. Another option to lower your risk of developing hives again is allergy injections.
