Abdominal Pain
Abdominal pain is a common symptom of internal shingles. The pain may be severe and accompanied by nausea and vomiting. It can be the first symptom a person experiences, or it may occur after they have other symptoms of internal shingles, such as back pain, headaches, and fever.
The pain in the abdomen is usually on the right side of the belly, although it may be located anywhere. The pain can be sharp or dull and often increases as a person eats or drinks. If they have abdominal pain with shingles, call a doctor to determine if a medical exam is necessary.
