Headache
Headache is a common symptom of internal shingles. Headaches can be mild or severe but are typically accompanied by other symptoms. Headaches last for days, weeks, or months before going away. Around half of people with shingles get a headache. This is one of the most common symptoms, and it often begins within two days after a person develops a rash. Headaches associated with shingles are usually located on one side of the head or both sides. However, they can also be found behind the eyes or in the neck.
They should see a doctor if a headache lasts longer than three days. Headaches caused by shingles can also be accompanied by other symptoms, including pain in the back and neck, fever, chills, nausea and vomiting.
