Constipation and Abdominal Swelling
When a person suffers from internal bleeding, the stomach can become swollen and distended due to blood accumulating there. This causes abdominal pain and bloating, which is also referred to as an “abdominal mass.” Additionally, the swelling may cause a feeling of nausea or vomiting.
The most apparent sign of internal bleeding is blood in the stool or urine, but this symptom is often missed because people associate the color with something else (such as food). If a person has a sudden change in bowel movements, from diarrhea to constipation or vice versa, and notices that they’ve been consistently lighter than usual for two or three days at a time, it could be due to internal bleeding as well.
